How do forex brokers manage their risk?

Does anyone know how brokers decide how much risk to internalize and how much exposure to hedge? Are there any rules? What are the best industry practices? Do they use any specific software to analyze their clients' pool, classify clients based on their risk policy, etc?

How Do Forex Indicators Work?

If you’re asking the question, how do forex indicators work, I’m going to make a couple of assumptions about you.
Was I right?
Sorry to burst your bubble, but an indicator is nothing more than a different way of looking at the same information.
As forex traders we have very little information available to us. All we know unequivocally is:
That’s it.
As an example, your candle sticks give a visual representation of how price moved in the past, with the hope you can use this information to predict what’s going to happen in the future.
Every forex indicator will simply show you different visual representation of this same information.
RSI, MACD, CCI, Stochastics & Bollinger Bands are all built using these 2 variables.
No indicator contains a secret sauce capable of telling you when to enter and exit the market at the perfect time.
When you look at these forex indicators you’re seeing the same information, just in a different format.
I’m possibly being a bit dismissive, partially because I don’t use indicators. I do know plenty of profitable traders that do because it helps them understand the previous market movements better than a naked chart. If that’s you, then by all means continue.
But… If like I suspected, you’re wanting to use an indicator to simplify the market and tell you when to enter and exit, you’re on the wrong track.
If you want to succeed with your trading you’ll need to learn the fundamentals of why the forex market moves. But In case you are interested to learn more about forex indicators then visit : https://www.forexracer.com/forex-indicators/

How do Forex MLM’s work and where do participants get their money from

I have a couple of acquaintances who are a part of an MLM named Kuvera. They constantly bombard their instagrams with cars which are clearly not theirs as well as expensive vacations...
One thing that they love to display more than anything on social media is screenshots of their “returns on trade” on cryptocurrency. Multiple screenshots of $100s of dollars of profit made through an app in a matter of hours and even photos of them with the actual withdrawn cash?
There’s always a catch with these things, so im wondering, where do particpants get fucked over in these forex MLMs? Their participants seem to be more successful than other MLM counterparts.

How much capital do you need to make a living off Forex?

I started trading and I am about a month in, but before I continue I have to know if this game is too rich for my blood.
So far I heard you need $25-100k to really make a living. I’m only really willing to put in 6k.
Edit: I currently would need a little less than 2k a month to live off and then some change for growth.

Help!!! How to do forex from India?

Hello guys, can some one show me the right way to do forex ( other than INR pairs) from India. I have been doing a demo with a broker called pepper stone for the past 8 months and I have found reasonable returns with it on the demo and I now want to move to real account starting with $200. My question is most brokers accept deposit via any MasterCard or visa and that’s easy but what about the withdrawal will there be any problems in getting money from my forex account in to my india account. Then will there be a situation where the bank can block my transaction. Also any issues I will face with our govt regulations and taxation. People who have done this before please help ....

[Spain] Freaking out about my plan to FIRE

I'm a Canadian getting married to a Spaniard and we're planning to live in Spain to be close to her family.
Most of my savings are in CAD and USD and at current rates, they total around 1.5 Million EUR. At a 2% withdrawal rate that would give me around 30k EUyear which is probably enough to cover our cost of living.
I work remotely and can pull in 50-200k EUyear but given Spanish tax rates I'll probably be aiming to make less than <100k EUyear given how high the tax rates are for 60k EUR+. I'll consider it a "semi-FIRE" for the next few years. I still haven't decided whether to go SL or Autonomo but it doesn't seem like there is much difference between the two if I make around 100k EUR based on my calculations.
We don't have a house or plan to buy one right now as we love living internationally and will likely move somewhere new in 5-10 years.
Based on the above, I thought I was in good shape but the more I research Spanish tax rates (which must have evolved from the colonial methods of raping and pillaging all those who are not nobles) the more I'm freaking out about my tax and investment situation here.
  1. We'll live in Castilla y Leon and I understand the wealth tax kicks in at 700k Euros. Can my future wife and I share the allowance (i.e. 1.4 million Euros between the two of us?) or will I get hit for my savings over 700k unless I transfer half of my savings to her?
  2. I historically traded/invested through InteractiveBrokers with long-term passive strategies (Index funds). I'm now reading that USD/CAD ETFs are typically not available to Europeans due to EU laws. I'd rather keep my investments in a diverse mix of currencies - any recommendations on how to do that or the best low management fee ETFs in Europe?
  3. I've read on here that some types of investments can be reinvested in similar funds without being taxed on dividends/ETFs. Does anyone have a link or more information I can read on that? I'm definitely looking for tax-efficient strategies, both with respect to withholding taxes and taxes when I rebalance.
  4. How do ForEx savings/investments get converted for taxes? Is it the spot price on Dec. 31 or average in Q4 of the year or average over the entire year?
I know a lot about investing and prefer to DIY but I really need to wrap my head around the tax situation here. There seems to be a ton of incorrect opinions and false information spread about and my lack of Spanish ability (I'm learning - but not conversant in technical stuff yet) doesn't help. My fiance and her family are pretty simple and don't seem to have a clue about the world of investing.
If anyone can recommend an English speaking tax lawyer / investment advisor who works on a reasonable fee basis that would be great too.

Anyone doing little forex trading? I’m curious how much of the not allowed is allowed.

I see in terms it’s not allowed.
But curious if I can bounce few K back and forth over the week or month without setting off any alarms.
Anyone doing it? How much/often?
I see Revoult gives a near perfect rate match while most forex brokers have 0.4 spread on the RUB which is nearly my entire profit interest on a weekly move.

Does anyone know if the Broker trading rule that limits your trades applies to Forex trades? The platform i'm using (Forex.com) I think requires margin trading and i don't want to be limited to 3 trades a day.

How do i turn off margin and just use my cash?

I'm 14 and I've been trading stocks, options, futures, and forex for almost 4 years. How do I land a finance internship and where do I look? Should I wait a little bit longer?

Ever since I was in 7th grade, I started to learn about trading because of video game trading. I remember trading many in-game items and selling them to 6th graders for cash. Every night, I would stay up in the video-game item auction websites ( scrap.tf ) because there would be fewer bidders and, therefore more opportunities to snag some good deals. I didn't even play video games at that point, and I only liked trading video-game items. One evening my mother said, "If you like trading so much, you should learn about the stock market.". From then on, I was hooked. So every day after school, I would spend hours watching videos to not understand it, researching it, writing notes, and continuing to expand my knowledge. After about 1.5 years, I was quite knowledgeable and parents that I had given presentations to were very impressed (This was a middle school project where you would present on something you're interested in). Some parents couldn't understand a word I was saying. Near the end of 8th grade, my father wanted to give money to trade with (>$1000) and during the summer I had almost doubled his money. During freshman high school, I would go to the library and open my laptop and just trade. I made about $60-$200 a day and some days I lose money. Although since I managed my risk, my reward outweighed my risk. Trading is just as much, if not more as a mental game than a numbers game. During my freshman year, my father wanted me to manage his retirement fund, and by then, I knew how to read financial statements and do fundamental analysis very well. We are currently 30% up with me joining in January 2020. Although it was sad to find out my father had lost quite a bit of money in his account statement, but now his account is finally positive. Because of this, my mother now encourages me to "monitor" my father which is hilarious considering my age. When I grow up, I want to be a financial analyst or start a prop shop (a type of trading firm), go into real estate (another story for later), and achieve financial freedom. For now, I want to apply for internships to gain some work experience in finance and I have some unanswered questions.
- P.S Sorry for any grammar issues I may have missed. English class was never my strong suit.
Questions:
  1. What route should I take? Trade school? Finance or accounting in college?
  2. How do I get some finance-related internship as a high schooler?
    1. Is this even possible?
    2. Should I wait a little bit longer?
    3. Where do I look?
  3. What route should I take? Trade school? Finance or accounting or both in college?

How do we get taxed in US Market, Crypto, Forex (using eToro etc.) gains?

Hello! im a medical student who recently started investing in stocks. I currently have about 500k+ to invest but only invested 50k so far in eToro and a few thousand pesos in FMSec just to try things out. I just got my own TIN number for the purpose of stock market investing, as it is a requirement, so I have little knowlege as to how taxation works.
As im starting to earn, im wondering about the tax arrangements. I havent found clear information about this after searching. Can someone please help me out. Do I have to pay taxes everytime I close a trade or just when I transfer my gains back to my bank account? Do I have to submit forms and other requirements to BIR? Sorry im new to this. Any help would be much appreciated :)
